Pamper Day
Cora Kemball-Cook // 17 October 2013

Pamper Day Oct 6th
It was a glorious Autumn day and we had everything arranged after weeks of planning for a Pamper and Well Being day in aid of Save the Children.
There was a choice of three different yoga classes – an energising session with Samantha Stone, a balancing session with Cora Kemball-Cook and a calming session with Tracy Higgins. We had six therapists offering a variety of wonderful massages, hot stones massage, reflexology and Reiki.
Chris Mac Sween had a stall selling natural skin care products and Jackie Shakespeare gave sessions in Emotional Freedom technique. This is a technique where by tapping on various parts of the body we can release various stresses and strains.
Everyone gave their time freely as it was a fund raising event. Many of the committee members did sterling work making delicious vegetarian soups and homemade bread.
In all we raised £1225.00 which was a wonderful total. Everyone had a lovely day and helped a charity into the bargain.
I am indebted to all the therapists who gave up a day of their weekend to help and do recommend their treatments as judging by the sighs of “Oh that was wonderful” and “ I feel so relaxed after that” everyone was happy with the treatment they received.
