Last week we explored the word harmony and how yoga could help us to find it.
Essentially it means “agreement of ideas, feelings, or actions” It originally comes from a Latin word and is associated with music and a combination of tones pleasing to the ear.
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
By our practice of yoga, we hope to bring harmony and balance to mind, body and spirit. If we practice yoga mindfully and gently, we can find that state of inner harmony.
In our practice we added a Warrior III and forward bend to the sequence from the previous week. This meant that our sequence was Warrior I, Parsvottananana, Trikonasana, Warrior II, Warrior III and forward bend. Have a practice of this at home and see how you get on!
Here are some positive affirmations based on Louise Hay’s work and from her book “Heart Thoughts”. Repeat them to yourself silently and with conviction, allow them to become a reality.
Everything I do say or think is in harmony with truth.
There is perfect and continuous right action in my life.
I align now my thoughts with love, joy and peace and live my life in harmony with these qualities.
